Argentina’s Defense Ministry announced human rights training courses for military officers of the three armed services began on Wednesday.

The lessons are to be given at military bases in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, and Bahia Blanca and will be attended by 600 members of the army, navy, and air forces, Prensa Latina reports.

Non-commissioned officers also will receive training along with military officers.

The program is to develop, within the military sector, cultural orientation and professional respect for fundamental rights.

Civilian experts on this issue, mostly professors at Argentinean universities, will give the three-month courses, which will include topics such as State, Conflict and Democracy, and Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights. (PressTV).
