In respect for all women and girls affected by genital mutilation, I don’t show explicit images of acts of violence on my website. Such images are humiliating for the victims and only serve to satisfy voyeuristic needs. Apart from that the use of explicit images can marginalize this issue, keeping it taboo instead of encouraging people to discuss it.
