Dear members, Below is a compilation of requests for information sent to the Global Human Rights Education listserv during the past week. At the bottom of each request you will find an e-mail address, so that you can respond to the request directly.

1. SEEKING WAYS TO COOPERATE WITH HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL TO TRAIN CYPRIOT EDUCATORS
Dear colleagues, The European Social Forum of Cyprus (ESFC) has a short course on human rights, which is specialized in the education rights for children with special needs. As we realize our teachers and educators are not qualified enough to fulfill the aims of the right to education, how can we cooperate with the UN Human Rights Council in order to train Cypriot teachers (Greek & Turkish)?
Chrysis Michaelides, ESFC, Website, e-mail.

2. LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON TENSION BETWEEN UNIVERSALITY AND PARTICULARITY IN HUMAN RIGHTS
Dear all, I am a new member to the field of HRE, though I am not young. I am very interested in the findings of shared and idiosyncratic beliefs, which may reflect the co-existence of universality and particularity in human rights. This is particularly important in Asia where debates on Asian Values are never ending. Could someone share with me more about the tension between universality and particularity? How can we transform the tension into something constructive?
Regards, Yan Wing, Leung Yan Wing (PhD), Associate Professor, Educational Policy and Administration Department, Associate Director, Centre for Governance and Citizenship, The Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong, China, Website, e-mail.

3. LOOKING FOR MASTERS PROGRAMS IN HUMAN RIGHTS
Dear colleagues, I am an activist working in Bangladesh on human rights, solidarity, democracy, advocacy and conflict resolution. I attended advocacy courses in Washington, D.C. in 1997. Now I want to have a Masters degree (and not by distance learning). In the next year I may attend a short course. Waiting for your advice.
M. Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh, e-mail.
